Cheerios

This is a combo deck that puts some combination of Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer into play and then plays out a variety of zero mana equipment to draw through its deck while generating storm count. Mox Opal along with Retract lets us pick all of our gear back up and keep drawing cards while we combo. Eventually we play two pieces of fast mana and cast a lethal Grapeshot to win the game.

Grixis Goryo As Foretold

Why limit yourself to just one combo when you can play them all? This deck not only has Griselbrand and Goryo’s Vengeance, but it also has Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker plus Deceiver Exarch. We can combo with Kiki as early as the third turn thanks to Izzet Charm ditching our combo creatures and then Living End flipping them back into play off of As Foretold.

Ad Nauseam

This is a two card combo deck that is looking to cast its namesake Ad Nauseam while it either has Phyrexian Unlife in play or has also resolved an Angel’s Grace. This allows us to draw our entire deck, which then allows us to kill our opponent by casting Lightning Storm by pitching a few copies of Simian Spirit Guide. You can learn more about Ad Nauseam in this guide here.

Amulet Titan

Amulet Titan is a deck based around putting lands like Simic Growth Chamber into play while we control Amulet of Vigor to quickly generate enough mana to slam a Primeval Titan into play. Titan can then give itself haste by finding Slayers’ Stronghold or it can find another Titan by turning Tolaria West into Summoner’s Pact. You can read more about this archetype on Channel Fireball here.

Jeskai Thing Ascension

If you like killing all of your opponent’s creature with efficient removal, but are not a fan of Jeksai Control’s inability to close out a game, this is likely the deck for you. Playing more card selection than any other deck in Modern, Jeskai Thing Ascension is looking to quickly find Thing in the Ice orĀ Pyromancer Ascension to start getting even more value off of our cheap spells.

If you would like some sideboarding tips with this deck, you can read my article about it on CoolStuff Inc here.

Surgical Meme

This deck might be the biggest Meme Modern contains. We choose to be on the draw, discard Shadowborn Apostle to hand size, and then Surgical Extraction all the other copies out of our deck. Now that our deck is small we play Shelldock Isle to find Emrakul, the Aeons Torn which we can then cast since our deck is now as small as it is.

Please note the video below is from one of my older streams so there are a few moments of the kids being loud in the background.

Wu Enduring Ideal

This is a White based prison deck that is trying to cast Enduring Ideal as soon as possible. We can ramp into our namesake card with both Lotus Bloom and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Once Enduring Ideal is cast we lock our opponent out of the game with enchantments like Dovescape, Overwhelming Splendor, and Sphere of Safety. Eventually we win the game on the back of Form of the Dragon dealing five damage a turn.
